If you are in charge of arranging transportation for a large group of people, you will likely need to book a charter bus from a company like Barrington Transportation Co. If you want to show your travel prowess, you should make sure you are prepared in case one of the passengers on your bus develops motion sickness during your trip. Showing you have thought ahead and having the supplies on hand to make your passengers comfortable will win you extra points with your passengers whether you are booking a family reunion or a regional tour. Below are some motion sickness solutions to make sure you have on hand.
Club Soda
Carbonation can help settle a stomach. However, some bus lines do not allow sodas on their buses. The simple solution is club soda, which has carbonation but none of the sticky sugars that make it undesirable. It's also a good idea because people with upset stomachs may not be able to handle overly sweet drinks.
Candied Ginger
Ginger can help with motion sickness. While ginger ale may be the classic solution, having small bits of candied ginger may provide a longer lasting option. Opt for little nibs that passengers can chew on or ginger sucking candies that will last the entire trip.
Vomit Bags
While most buses supply vomit bags, it is always a good idea to have a few extra on hand. This way you can manage repeat vomiting and you can double or triple bag the offending matter so the smell will not contribute to continued nausea on the bus. Even a few trash bags that you can tie securely will do the trick.
Deodorizer
While most buses will have cleaning supplies on board that will allow you to sanitize the area where someone vomits, the scent can linger even after an accident is cleaned up. This can make the rest of the bus ride uncomfortable for your passengers. To help make things comfortable, consider bringing a spray deodorizer or a light air freshener that will cover the scent of vomit. However, before using either of these you should make sure that no one in your group has a sensitivity or allergy to scented products.
While it is natural to want to make your passengers comfortable, you should think twice about distributing medication, even if it is over the counter. Medication should be purchased by each individual traveler and not shared. Instead, stick to natural remedies that are less likely to have adverse reactions.
When I got married, I failed miserably at planning my honeymoon. For some unknown reason, I thought a 3 day trip to a beach followed by a 3 day trip to the mountains was a good idea. During the middle of our honeymoon, my husband and I had to travel approximately 6 hours from our first destination to our second one. To make matters worse, our car broke down during this long commute. If you’re currently planning your honeymoon, consider booking an extended stay at one unforgettable resort retreat. In doing so, you will simplify your trip and have more time to spend with each other. On this blog, you will discover honeymoon planning tips.
